Stone cladding will soon cover the lower tiers, while a tapering spire with ornamental gold detailing will rise above them, crowned by a statue of the angel Moroni. Scaffolding continues to surround much of the exterior as renovation work progresses.

The public is invited to tour the building, located at 4310 Dale Road, from October 16 through October 31 (excluding Sundays). The temple’s interior design celebrates the natural beauty and agricultural heritage of California’s Central Valley, including almond blossoms and strawberry motifs that appear in the art glass and millwork. The tones of blue, green and gold were selected to represent the abundance of crops, animals and water in the region.

Brazil currently has twelve dedicated temples and twelve more announced or under construction.

Plans for the residential neighborhood include improved road connections, pedestrian trails, and frontage improvements along 100 South and Spanish Fork Parkway. A roundabout is also planned as part of the development. The temple remains in the design phase, and final plans will be submitted to the City later.

Asphalt paving has been completed across much of the parking areas and drives, while interior finish work progresses. The original temple will continue to operate on the southeast corner of the property until March 22, 2027, when it will close permanently in preparation for demolition. An open house for the new temple is scheduled to follow in May.

This includes grading and the installation of underground utility infrastructure such as water, sewer and electrical service connections to the city’s existing systems. Design work on the temple continues, and a date for an official groundbreaking ceremony has not yet been announced.
