Construction Activity at the Budapest Hungary Temple
Preliminary construction activity has begun at the Budapest Hungary Temple site where the country's first house of the Lord will be erected. Plans for the temple were announced at the April 2019 General Conference, and the location was revealed four-and-a-half years later in October 2023. An exterior rendering of the 18,000-square-foot building was published in March 2024, and members now look forward to a groundbreaking announcement.
Exterior Rendering Released for the Budapest Hungary Temple
The official exterior rendering for the Budapest Hungary Temple has been released. The 18,000-square-foot house of the Lord will be constructed on a 5.92-acre site located at the intersection of Kocsis Sándor út and Borsikafū utca in the Harsánylejtő neighborhood of Budapest. An arrival center and patron housing are also part of the project. It is the first temple to be constructed in the country of Hungary.
Location of the Budapest Hungary Temple Announced
The location of the Budapest Hungary Temple has been announced as a 5.92-acre site located at the intersection of Kocsis Sándor út and Borsikafū utca in the Harsánylejtő neighborhood of Budapest. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 18,000 square feet. An arrival center and patron housing will also be constructed on site. Plans for the temple were first announced at the April 2019 General Conference.
