Cody Wyoming Temple Open House Begins in August
The public will have the opportunity to tour the newly completed Cody Wyoming Temple before it is dedicated in late October 2026. Free tours will be offered from Thursday, August 27, through Saturday, September 12, on weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. No reservations are required. The temple is located off Skyline Drive at 555 Temple View Lane in Cody.

Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple Groundbreaking Date Announced
Elder Hutch U. Fale of the United States West Area Presidency will preside at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Coeur d'Alene Idaho Temple on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The temple will be constructed on a 10.91-acre property located at the corner of Hanley Avenue and Coeur Terre Boulevard in Coeur d'Alene. Plans call for a single-story building of approximately 29,630 square feet, a meetinghouse, and an accompanying ancillary building.
Foundation Completed for the Jacksonville Florida Temple
At the Jacksonville Florida Temple site, the partial basement and reinforced concrete foundation have now been completed, as work transitions from below-grade development to the erection of the temple's structural frame. Located along the St. Johns River near Florida’s Atlantic coast, Jacksonville is known for its extensive urban park system, large metropolitan footprint, and connection to the surrounding coastal region.

Elder Simpson is an Area Seventy and a former Ghana Accra West Mission president, stake president and bishop. Sister Simpson is a youth adviser and a former mission president companion, stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president and ward Primary president.

Peresia Mark Peteru and Ruta Luafatasaga Peteru of the Sydney Australia Hebersham Stake have been called as president and matron of the new Port Moresby Papua New Guinea Temple. Brother Peteru is a temple sealer and former Area Seventy, Papua New Guinea Lae Mission president, stake president and bishop. Sister Peteru is an area organization adviser and temple worker and former mission president companion, stake Relief Society presidency counselor, stake Primary presidency counselor and ward Relief Society president.
Palm Trees Planted at the Cagayan de Oro Philippines Temple
Landscaping efforts are bringing new life to the grounds of the Cagayan de Oro Philippines Temple, where rows of newly planted palm trees now line the approach to the building entrance. With the exterior of the temple substantially complete, construction efforts are focused on the finishing the interior and the grounds, including walkways and flowerbeds that will enhance the beauty of the completed site.

Heavy equipment is actively reshaping the site, while freshly placed structural fill and newly formed embankments define the future temple grounds. Inside the Salt Lake Temple, several endowment rooms near completion, and carpet has been installed in the celestial room and surrounding study areas. Beautiful chandeliers have also been hung in the east baptistry, while the historic oak doors have been reinstalled on the east side. The temple now rests on its base isolation system, after crews removed more than 1,500 bolts connecting the 392 plates to the 98 base isolators, located 20 feet beneath the temple. "This is a milestone moment for this whole project," said Brad Bohne, general superintendent with Jacobsen Construction. The temple is "free to move now during an earthquake, so a big deal for us," he added.
Holiness to the Lord Panel Added to the Lone Mountain Nevada Temple
A precast concrete panel inscribed with the sacred words "Holiness to the Lord – The House of the Lord" (Exodus 28:36) has been installed over the front portico of the Lone Mountain Nevada Temple. The inscription was first carved into the Salt Lake Temple by John Rowe Moyle, a talented stonecutter and convert to the Church. The words can now be found on every operating temple of the Church. The covenants made in the temple help members in their pursuit of holiness.

At the Querétaro Mexico Temple, the eight colorful tiled sections of the cupola have been staged on site, ready for installation atop the steeple frame. The temple's monument sign now stands at the front of the property, and palm trees are being planted throughout the grounds. Meanwhile, the first panes of art glass have been set in place, and decorative iron grilles have been added above the windows, adding a layer of architectural detail to the temple's elegant exterior.
Enclosing the Exterior of the Winchester Virginia Temple
Crews continue to enclose the structural frame of the Winchester Virginia Temple with yellow sheathing panels coated in a dark waterproofing sealant. The sheathing now covers much of the exterior, giving the temple a more recognizable appearance. Rough window openings are gradually being covered while interior framing continues to advance. Site grading and utility work is also ongoing around the building.
Elder Gong Dedicates the New Nauvoo Temple Visitors' Center
Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles dedicated the new Nauvoo Temple Visitors’ Center today on the 182nd anniversary of the martyrdom of the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum Smith, who were killed in Carthage, Illinois, on June 27, 1844. "Nauvoo is central to our history — to our past, to our present, to our future," said Elder Gong. The visitors’ center, located at 155 Wells Street, has a view of the Nauvoo Illinois Temple and features a Tiffany stained-glass window of Jesus Christ. It will operate Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting Monday. Admission is free.
Construction of the Wellington New Zealand Temple Goes Vertical
Vertical construction is underway at the Wellington New Zealand Temple site, where heavy steel beams and columns are rising above the completed foundation. A truck-mounted telescoping crane is used to lift and position the steel as the structural frame takes shape. The temple is situated on the elevated eastern portion of the property, which slopes down toward street level. The mature trees surrounding the site create a beautiful, natural setting for the sacred structure.
Tacloban City Philippines Temple Foundation Taking Shape
The foundation for the Tacloban City Philippines Temple is taking shape following the installation of underground utilities. Along the north side of the property, a masonry perimeter wall has been erected, while crews continue earthmoving and site grading on the south side. Plans for the site also include an ancillary building that will house an arrival center, patron housing, and a distribution center. It has been more than 17 months since the temple's groundbreaking ceremony.
Foundation Work Advances at the Fairbanks Alaska Temple Site
Construction is gaining momentum at the Fairbanks Alaska Temple, where the building's footprint is becoming clearly defined as foundation work progresses. Crews are installing the reinforced concrete footings and foundation walls that will support the temple's superstructure. Framed by towering spruce trees and Alaska's broad summer skies, the temple site is steadily taking shape.
Reservations Available for the Wichita Kansas Temple Open House
Free reservations are now available for tours of the interior of the new Wichita Kansas Temple. The public open house will be held daily from Thursday, September 24, through Saturday, October 10, excluding Sundays and Saturday, October 3. All are welcome to attend. Following the temple's dedication, entry will be reserved for members of the Church. The open house provides a special opportunity for visitors to experience this sacred house of the Lord, learn about the purpose of temples, and enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds.
Paving the Parking Areas Around the Teton River Idaho Temple
Significant advancement has been made on the Teton River Idaho Temple as exterior finishing work and site development continue across the property. Stone cladding has been installed on much of the temple's exterior, while work on the steeple and architectural detailing moves forward. Adjacent to the temple, crews have made substantial headway on the parking lot, where curbs are in place and asphalt paving is underway.
Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple Exterior Finishes Advance
Exterior finishes are progressing on the Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple as scaffolding remains in place around the structure. Stone cladding has been installed across much of the exterior, giving the temple its distinctive appearance. Construction activity is also advancing on the surrounding grounds. Set against the backdrop of Kaohsiung's dense urban environment, the temple is emerging as a beautiful new landmark in southern Taiwan.
Victoria British Columbia Temple Groundbreaking Slated for August
The location of the Victoria British Columbia Temple has been announced as a 4.7-acre (1.9-hectare) site located on Mantle Heights Road in Langford, British Columbia. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 11,400 square feet with an accompanying patron waiting area. The official exterior rendering has also been published. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Elder James E. Evanson of the Canada Area Presidency will preside at the event.
