Recent Temple Announcements

Beginning with the presidency of Dallin H. Oaks, temple annoucements are made locally in the region where the temple will be constructed. These announcements are often made by apostles or area presidents. Following is a list of temple announcements made over the last six months.

Marysville Washington Temple

During a devotional held in the Marysville Washington Stake, Elder Hugo E. Martinez of the United States West Area Presidency read a First Presidency statement that said: "We are pleased to announce the construction of a temple in Marysville, Washington. The specific location and timing of the construction will be announced later. This is a reason for all of us to rejoice and express gratitude for such a significant blessing — one that will allow more frequent access to the ordinances, covenants and power that can only be found in the house of the Lord." It will be the seventh temple constructed in the state.
