Dedication Rescheduled for the Casper Wyoming Temple
The dedication of the Casper Wyoming Temple, which was originally scheduled to be held in two sessions on Sunday, October 13, has been rescheduled. The dedication will now be held on Sunday, November 24, in one session at 10:00 a.m. Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside. The dedication will be broadcast to all units in the temple district. Due to the schedule change, the Deseret Peak Utah Temple is now projected to be the 200th dedicated temple of the Church in operation.

News Conference Held for the Casper Wyoming Temple
A news conference was held this morning for the open house of the Casper Wyoming Temple. Invited guests will tour the new house of the Lord through Wednesday, August 28. The public is invited to tour the building from Thursday, August 29, through Saturday, September 14, 2024, excluding Sundays. Tours are free, and no tickets are needed. The temple’s design motifs include stylized versions of the Indian paintbrush, Wyoming’s state flower, and sagebrush.

Public Invited to Tour the Casper Wyoming Temple
The public is invited to tour the new Casper Wyoming Temple beginning in three weeks. Admission is free, and no reservations are needed. The open house begins with a brief video overview followed by a short walking tour through the temple. Comfortable shoes and modest dress are recommended. Tours will be offered daily, except for Sundays, from 9:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. starting Thursday, August 29, and continuing through Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Open House and Dedication Announced for the Casper Wyoming Temple
The public is invited to an open house of the Casper Wyoming Temple from Thursday, August 29, through Saturday, September 14, 2024, excluding Sundays. Before the public portion of the open house, a media day will be held on Monday, August 26, followed by two days of invited guest tours. Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will dedicate the temple in two sessions at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. MDT on Sunday, October 13, 2024. The sessions will be broadcast to all units in the temple district.

Indian Paintbrush Flowers Featured in the Casper Wyoming Temple
Nighttime exterior lighting for the Casper Wyoming Temple is fully operational, creating a beautiful scene for motorists traveling Wyoming Boulevard. The stained-glass windows feature depictions of the Indian Paintbrush flower—the state flower of Wyoming. Construction of the temple and accompanying ancillary building began over two years ago and is nearing completion.

Casper Wyoming Temple Parking Lot Striped
The parking spaces surrounding the Casper Wyoming Temple have been striped including several disabled parking spaces near the entrances to the temple and the ancillary building. Crews are still at work on site, but construction of the house of the Lord is drawing closer to a conclusion. The temple will become Wyoming's second.

First Exterior Lighting Test for the Casper Wyoming Temple
The exterior lighting system for the Casper Wyoming Temple was tested for the first time last night, coinciding with the appearance of the blue moon that hung in the sky above the steeple. The temple is the second to be constructed through the design-manufacture-install (DMI) process, following the Helena Montana Temple. The modules were constructed in Birmingham, Alabama, and transported to Casper where they were joined and completed on site.

Cupola Installed on the Casper Wyoming Temple
On Saturday, the cupola for the Casper Wyoming Temple was installed atop the steeple, giving the building a more completed look. Stained-glass windows are being glazed in the window openings, and flowerbeds next to the temple are filling in beautifully. The temple in Casper is an example of the design-manufacture-install (or DMI) approach to construction being taken by the Church for some of its smaller temples.

Casper Wyoming Temple Monument Sign Installed
The monument sign for the Casper Wyoming Temple has been installed on site, displaying the name of the Church and the name of the temple. The inscribed lettering will later be painted to make it stand out. The flowerbeds immediately adjacent to the building are being planted with a variety of foliage. Casper is located at 5,150 ft. (1570 m) above sea level on the banks of the North Platte River.

Exterior Cladding of the Casper Wyoming Temple Completed
The installation of walls panels on the exterior of the Casper Wyoming Temple has been completed. The sacred structure will later be crowned with a golden pyramidal spire and finial. At the lower end of the property, hundreds of plants and dozens of trees have been staged for planting. These soft elements of the landscaping are making an appearance in flowerbeds around the property.

Rainbow Appears Behind the Casper Wyoming Temple
Nature's beauty was on display at the Casper Wyoming Temple this week when the sunshine came out on a rainy day to produce a beautiful rainbow. The body of the temple and most of the steeple have been clad in precast panels. Construction of the temple has been underway for 20 months. It is the second temple to be constructed in Wyoming, following the Star Valley Wyoming Temple. A third Wyoming temple to be constructed in Cody is in the government approval process.

Irrigation System for the Casper Wyoming Temple Grounds
Trenches have been dug up the hillside behind the ancillary building at the Casper Wyoming Temple site for the irrigation system that is being installed for the vegetation planned for this section of the property. Exterior cladding of the temple continues to progress, and landscaping is anticipated to move in high gear during the upcoming summer months.

Casper Wyoming Temple Steeple Frame Completed
The full steeple frame for the Casper Wyoming Temple has been installed over the center of the building while precast panels continue to be secured to the exterior. The first panels have been set for the parapet, which runs along the top of the main walls. It features subtle geometric shapes and a wave-like pattern across the top. Local leaders say they hope to see the temple finished before the end of the year if supply chains and labor availability do not create delays.

Framing the Upper Structure for the Casper Wyoming Temple
Steel framing is rising for the upper walls and steeple of the Casper Wyoming Temple. Local members are excited to see the progress being made on the building. A full year passed between the October 2021 groundbreaking and the installation of the prefabricated modules that were secured to the foundation. Now the temple is growing taller and being clad in beautiful precast panels.

Exterior Panel Installation Begins at the Casper Wyoming Temple
The first precast panels have been attached to the exterior of the Casper Wyoming Temple. Panels began arriving about a month ago, and installation started on Monday. Windows have been installed, and stained glass will be added later. Several lamp posts and a perimeter fence are in place with much more landscaping planned for the warmer months.

Fence Installation at the Casper Wyoming Temple Site
Permanent fencing is being secured along the property line of the Casper Wyoming Temple site with most of the hillside behind the ancillary building already completed. Preparations are being made for landscaping the hill once the weather warms. Mechanical equipment has been installed on top of the modules including a rooftop HVAC unit. Steel columns are in place at the building's inside corners as framing for the upper structure begins.

Casper Wyoming Temple Modules Installed
In just over a week's time, all of the modules for the Casper Wyoming Temple have been set on the foundation. They will be stitched together before the electrical and plumbing are connected. A steel frame will be constructed over the modules to form the skeletal support for the steeple and exterior walls. The temple is the second to be constructed in Wyoming. A third has been announced for the city of Cody.

First Modules Attached to the Casper Wyoming Temple Foundation
The first two modules for the Casper Wyoming Temple were set into place yesterday on the concrete foundation. A truck-mounted crane will heft the modules to their specified locations until all are in place—a process that may take less than two weeks to accomplish. The final modules have been arriving over the past few days while a first layer of asphalt has been laid in the parking and driveway areas.

Pavement Installed at the Casper Wyoming Temple Site
Two rows of modules sit on the lower end of the Casper Wyoming Temple site. A total of 17 have arrived over the past six weeks with several more yet to be delivered. Asphalt has been paved next to the concrete curbing on two sides of the temple where parking will be located. During construction, these surfaces will be used for staging equipment and materials. This Sunday is the one-year anniversary of the groundbreaking ceremony.

Temple Modules Arriving at the Casper Wyoming Temple Site
As of today, six modules have been delivered to the Casper Wyoming Temple site with about twenty more yet to come. The modules will be delivered as they are completed over the next several weeks. Assembly will include attaching the modules to the foundation and stitching them together. Brickwork on the ancillary building has been completed, and water and sewer connections have been made.

Walls Built for the Casper Wyoming Temple Utility Yard
Screening walls have been built for the utility yard and trash enclosure that adjoin the ancillary building for the Casper Wyoming Temple. Curbing has been poured around a large portion of the parking area, and ground has been contoured to slope away from the east end of the parking lot. The completed temple foundation is ready for modules, but they have yet to arrive.

Casper Wyoming Temple Ancillary Building Progress
Advancements are being made on the ancillary building at the Casper Wyoming Temple site. The roof has been laid and windows have been installed while finish work continues on the interior. Scaffolds are being used for installation of finish materials on the exterior, and prep work has been completed for the utility yard. Catch basins are being installed around the property as part of the drainage system. The arrival of modules for the temple is still pending.

Foundation Completed for the Casper Wyoming Temple
The sturdy concrete foundation for the Casper Wyoming Temple has been poured, cured, and waterproofed. A pair of concrete landscape structures has also been installed near the entrance. Once the interior modules have been constructed, they will be anchored to the foundation and stitched together. Roofing is underway on the ancillary building, and crews are hanging drywall on the interior.

Casper Wyoming Temple Ancillary Building Framed
Over the past several weeks, framing and sheathing has been completed for the ancillary building that stands next to the Casper Wyoming Temple. The auxiliary structure will provide patron services and support grounds and building maintenance. Work continues on pouring the interior concrete columns that will transfer the weight of the temple superstructure to the ground beneath.

Forms Removed from the Casper Wyoming Temple Foundation
The thick outer foundation walls for the Casper Wyoming Temple have been poured and cured, and the forms have been removed. Additional forming continues inside the foundation for the walls and columns that will support the baptismal font and the prefabricated modules. These modules will be stitched together and bolted to the reinforced concrete before additional steel framing is erected. The floor slab has been poured for the ancillary building.

Preparing the Foundation Walls for the Casper Wyoming Temple
Trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery are spread across the Casper Wyoming Temple site where construction continues on the foundations for the temple and adjacent ancillary building. Rebar has been set for the walls of the temple foundation while pipes are conduits are installed underneath. The temple in Casper shares a floor plan with the Helena Montana Temple for which ground broken almost 7 months ago.

Building a Pad for the Casper Wyoming Temple
Structural fill has been delivered to the Casper Wyoming Temple site to create a raised pad for the temple. Construction has also begun on an ancillary building to the southeast of the temple that will house a distribution center, a non-patron waiting area, restrooms, and a storage area for maintenance supplies and equipment. Piers have been drilled and poured for the foundation of the ancillary building.

Site Preparations Underway for the Casper Wyoming Temple
Crew members of Grizzly Excavating have begun site preparations for the Casper Wyoming Temple. Ground was formally broken for the state's second temple last month. The land has been cleared and is now being compacted and leveled with a steamroller ahead of excavation for the foundation. The temple will stand on Eagle Dr, between Independence Ct and Wyoming Blvd SW.

Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for the Casper Wyoming Temple
Elder S. Gifford Nielsen of the Quorum of the Seventy presided at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Casper Wyoming Temple on Saturday, October 9, 2021. The 10,000-square-foot temple will be constructed at the intersection of Wyoming Boulevard Southwest and Eagle Drive on a 9.5-acre site. In the site dedicatory prayer, Elder Nielsen spoke of the early Saints saying. "May we never forget their unwavering effort and sacrifices. May this temple stand as a symbol of their commitment to Thee and of their desire to build Thy kingdom here on earth."

Official Rendering Released for the Casper Wyoming Temple
The official exterior rendering for the Casper Wyoming Temple has been released, shortly after a groundbreaking announcement was made this morning for Saturday, October 9. The single-level temple is approximately 10,000 square feet, featuring ornamental cladding, brass-colored accents, and a grand tiered steeple with a pyramidal cupola and metal finial. Custom stained-glass windows will be featured throughout.
