The La Paz Bolivia Temple is currently in the planning stages. No groundbreaking date has been announced.
Temple Rendering
On January 22, 2024, the official exterior rendering for the La Paz Bolivia Temple was released to the public.1
Temple Site
On August 28, 2023, the location of the La Paz Bolivia Temple was announced as a 3.8-acre site located near Avenida Los Sauces and Calle 8 de Calacoto in the Calacoto neighborhood of La Paz. Plans call for a temple of approximately 18,850 square feet.2
Temple Announcement
On October 3, 2021, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the La Paz Bolivia Temple at the October 2021 General Conference. This will be the third temple in Bolivia, where there are more than 212,000 members. The Cochabamba Bolivia Temple was dedicated in 2000 by President Gordon B. Hinckley, and the Santa Cruz Bolivia Temple was announced by President Russell M. Nelson in 2020. The temple will serve members in the cities of La Paz and El Alto, where the Church has seen significant growth.3
