Angel Moroni Replaced on the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple
A weathered statue of the angel Moroni was lifted off the spire of the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple this morning, and a fresh statue was installed in its place. The angel Moroni is placed on some temples as a symbol of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The temple, located in American Fork, was dedicated almost 28 years ago by President Gordon B. Hinckley on October 13, 1996.
East Plaza Project at the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple Nearly Complete
A minor renovation project on the east side of the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple is nearly finished. A beautiful plaza was created and an exit door was installed for newly sealed couples to use as a place to be received by family and friends. Coping stones are being placed along the tops of the retaining walls, and shrubs have been planted along the fence to create a privacy screen. Fresh mulch and plants are filling in the garden spaces.
Trees Delivered to the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple Grounds
Dozens of trees lie on the east side of the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple grounds where they will soon be planted into the new landscaping. The grounds renovation is being carried out in tandem with a new exit that was created for couples who are sealed in the temple. The Mount Timpanogos temple was the ninth temple built in the state of Utah and the second built in Utah County.
New Door Installed at the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple
Couples who are sealed at the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple will have a new way to exit the building and greet family and friends on the beautiful temple grounds. Last week, a door was installed on the east side of the 25-year-old building that creates an exit from the dressing rooms to an outdoor gathering plaza that is currently under renovation. Hard landscape structures have been poured and cured.
Minor Renovation Project Underway at the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple
The plaza on the east side of the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple has been removed including the trees, plants, and concrete as part of a minor renovation project that will add a new exit door for couples who have been sealed. The east plaza sits under the Celestial Room and Bride's Room windows. The new exit will take a portion of the men's dressing area to create a common vestibule between the men's dressing area and the Bride's Room.
