Temple Announcement
On October 1, 2023, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Tulsa Oklahoma Temple at the October 2023 General Conference. It will be the state’s second temple. The Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple was dedicated in 2000 and rededicated in 2019. Oklahoma, situated in the Great Plains of the United States, is home to more than 50,000 Latter-day Saints in about 90 congregations. The first meetinghouse in Oklahoma was constructed in 1892.
