An exterior rendering for the proposed design of the beautiful Winchester Virginia Temple has been published. The 30,000-square-foot temple will be constructed in the historic city (founded in 1744) on an 11.27-acre site located at 200 Merrimans Lane in Winchester. It will be the second temple constructed in the Old Dominion state, following the Richmond Virginia Temple (2023). A third temple has been announced for Roanoke.

Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 30,000 square feet. It will be the second temple built in Virginia, following the Richmond Virginia Temple, which was dedicated on May 7, 2023. Plans for the state's third temple, the Roanoke Virginia Temple, were announced on October 1, 2023.
