HOLINESS TO THE LORD
THE HOUSE OF THE LORD

"My dear brothers and sisters, construction of these temples may not change your life, but your time in the temple surely will. In that spirit, I bless you to identify those things you can set aside so you can spend more time in the temple."
—Russell M. Nelson

First Cladding Panels Installed at the Lone Mountain Nevada Temple

The first exterior cladding panels have been secured to the ground-level structural frame of the Lone Mountain Nevada Temple, marking an early step in the transition toward exterior enclosure. Steel framing of the upper structures continues to reveal the building’s full massing and architectural profile. As additional cladding is installed in the coming weeks, the temple’s exterior design will take shape against the backdrop of Lone Mountain in northwest Las Vegas.

Cupola Panels Staged on the Querétaro Mexico Temple Site

At the Querétaro Mexico Temple, the eight colorful tiled sections of the cupola have been staged on site, ready for installation atop the steeple frame. The temple's monument sign now stands at the front of the property, and palm trees are being planted throughout the grounds. Meanwhile, the first panes of art glass have been set in place, and decorative iron grilles have been added above the windows, adding a layer of architectural detail to the temple's elegant exterior.

Enclosing the Exterior of the Winchester Virginia Temple

Crews continue to enclose the structural frame of the Winchester Virginia Temple with yellow sheathing panels coated in a dark waterproofing sealant. The sheathing now covers much of the exterior, giving the temple a more recognizable appearance. Rough window openings are gradually being covered while interior framing continues to advance. Site grading and utility work is also ongoing around the building.

Elder Gong Dedicates the New Nauvoo Temple Visitors' Center

Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles dedicated the new Nauvoo Temple Visitors’ Center today on the 182nd anniversary of the martyrdom of the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum Smith, who were killed in Carthage, Illinois, on June 27, 1844. "Nauvoo is central to our history — to our past, to our present, to our future," said Elder Gong. The visitors’ center, located at 155 Wells Street, has a view of the Nauvoo Illinois Temple and features a Tiffany stained-glass window of Jesus Christ. It will operate Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting Monday. Admission is free.
